But on the blog this week we’re excited to share with you a little more about how great SmartStrand carpet is and the key features of the KSC-7500 vacuum.
What is SmartStrand?
SmartStrand was released by Mohawk Flooring in 2005, and is one of the newer carpet fiber types on the market. It was designed to combine the durability of nylon with the stain resistance of a polyester. SmartStrand has four “Forever” Promises: Forever Durable, Forever Stain Free, Forever clean, and forever pure.. but what does this mean for you?
Forever Durable
The construction of SmartStrands fiber is spring-like, and engineered to resist matting and crushing. This allows the fiber to bounce back (through steam cleaning with hot water extraction) and maintain its shape and beauty over time.
Forever clean
SmartStrand Forever Clean does not trap and hold onto dirt. Through independent vacuum testing, SmartStrand Forever Clean has been shown to release three times more dirt than other carpet fibers.
Forever Stain-Free
SmartStrand is the only fiber equipped with permanent stain protection, inside and out. Unlike traditional carpet fiber’s with only topical stain guards, SmartStrand carpets stain protection power is actually build INTO the fiber and will never lose its protection.

SmartStrand carpets have a 0% absorption rate unlike nylons that have up to a 5% absorption rate. When spills absorb into the fiber, as the liquid evaporates, the impurities are trapped leading to unpleasant, musty smelling odors.
This is an especially appealing feature if you have pets that struggle with having accidents in the house! There will never be a smell due to trapped impurities.

Sonic Cleaning Technology
The KSC - 7500 is the only vacuum to use patented sonic cleaning technology. There is a bar on the bottom side of the vacuum that produces 200 vibrations per second to gently release imbedded dirt and allergen particles.
EZ Push Adjustable Vents
The patented EZ push adjustable vents can be adjusted for more air flow allowing the vacuum to easily glide across even the plushest carpet. While it is designed for soft style carpets, it also preforms very well on hard surfaces, just close the vent for increased suction on hard surface flooring such as hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, and laminate.
Soft Bristle Brush Roll
In the vacuum world, the color of the bristles on the beater bar determine how stiff the bristles are. The lighter the bristles the softer they are. The KSC - 7500 uses extremely soft nylon bristles that are gentle enough to lift dirt particles to the surface without damaging the delicate fibers.
Hospital Grade HEPA Filtration
Soniclean’s patented Seal-Tech H13 HEPA rated filter bags capture dust and dirt and keep them trapped inside the bag. These bags provide 99.97% filtration at 0.3 microns! When replacing the bag, (when the full bag indicator light notifies you) there won’t be any loose dirt and allergens floating around like traditional vacuum bags have.
The KSC - 7500 also comes with fragrance pods to add a clean scent to the air while vacuuming, so not only will your home be clean, but it will smell clean as well!
